Our Week with Coschedule
Have you heard of CoSchedule? Coschedule is an easy drag-and-drop content marketing calendar that allows you to plan, create, and promote your social media content all in one place. As a newer nonprofit, our staffing is small which has limited our social media marketing and campaigning, which are crucial to reaching supporters and donors… enter CoSchedule! We have tried other social media platform tools but struggled to find “the one” that would satisfy our needs and be user friendly. We have been utilizing CoSchedule for the last week and are so happy that we found a great tool to assist us in spreading the word about the great work we do. It has also been an amazing resource for creating and monitoring all of our content. CoSchedule enables our staff to collaborate and for multiple staff to contribute to shared content and projects. They have a feature called “team workflow” in which multiple members can simultaneously work on projects, set deadlines, and communicate to promote efficiency and cooperation.
We have been able to easily create and schedule content for our multiple social media and marketing platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, our blog, etc). We especially love the ability to schedule, color label categories of posts, and “drag and drop” scheduled posts within the calendar, so convenient! CoSchedule has even taken out some of the guessing of strategizing post times- when going to post content, we simply select “best time” for scheduling and CoSchedule will utilize their analytics to automatically post the content at the optimal time. How great is that?!
CoSchedule is extremely user friendly; none of our staff have backgrounds in marketing or IT. However, all users have been able to easily and efficiently utilize CoSchedule to significantly increase our social media outreach. If we have had any questions, we have been able to reach out to CoSchedule staff and have received responses and guidance promptly. CoSchedule’s free webinar was especially helpful in orienting us to tips and techniques. We were also provided with “sneak peaks” of upcoming and pending additional functions and integrations which are in the works. Though we can’t be specific, we can say we are excited about the pending releases and updates!
In the last week we have seen a big increase in the number of visitors and responses to our outreach. We have seen a spike in the number of followers and are starting to see our social network expand. As our staff serve multiple roles within the agency, we can now focus our efforts on planning, creating, and scheduling our social media and can rest assured that CoSchedule will take care of the rest! CoSchedule’s analytics feature has helped us examine the types of content which have had the highest engagement; this has assisted in planning and strategizing the type of content and platforms to focus on.
