Susan Balla, M.A.
Ms. Balla has a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Pepperdine University. Ms. Balla began her career as a preschool teacher where she worked for several years with children age infancy through five years. Following teaching, she began working with children diagnosed with a variety of early childhood disorders in school, clinic, and home settings. Ms. Balla has worked with adolescents and adults with substance abuse and other co-occurring disorders. She has received training working with at-risk adolescents, including youth victims of commercial sexual exploitation. Ms. Balla has extensive experience with individuals with developmental disabilites and ADHD, and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of our agency’s Butterfly Bootcamp program. She has experience in Cognitive-Behavioral, Family Systems, and Floor-time therapies. Ms. Balla has a range of administrative experiences including conducting clinical quality assurance internal audits and preparing programs for county-led external audits. She is currently a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and a member our agency’s Board of Directors.
