Mr. Brown earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and his Juris Doctorate degree from the Pepperdine University, while concurrently completing a certification in ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) at the Straus Institute. After law school, he transitioned into collegiate athletics and served as a senior administrator for two Division I athletic programs. Mr. Brown currently serves as the Director of Equity, Inclusion, and Compliance in the Office of the President at California State University, Bakersfield. He is an alumnus of the UC Berkeley Executive Leadership Academy and is currently completing the National Association of Diversity Officers in Higher Education Standards of Professional Practice Institute and the CSU Leadership Academy. He actively participates on several professional committees, and has spoken on several collegiate sports panels. In addition, Mr. Brown participates in youth mentorship projects and has co-facilitated couples relationship seminars.
Mr. Brown remains actively engaged in his community. He has served on the Panama-Buena Vista Union School District Equity Taskforce, the Kern Equity Symposium Steering Committee, and Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bakersfield.
