Dr. Brown earned her doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, where she served as the first post-doctoral fellow at the Graduate School of Education and Psychology. She is currently an adjunct faculty member for the university. Dr. Brown has over 10 years of experience in human services delivery, including completion of an APA-accredited internship at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Los Angeles. She served as a visiting lecturer and Interim Director of Clinical Training at California Lutheran University, in their Clinical Psychology doctoral program. Additionally, she has worked in a community mental health setting providing individual, couple, and family therapy; and has developed and implemented social skills groups for children and adolescents. Dr. Brown has experience conducting psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological assessments with children, adolescents, and adults. She has lectured on social skills, parenting skills, marital therapy, multicultural issues in psychotherapy, and social and academic issues with college-age students. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, Los Angeles County Psychological Association, Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association, Christian Association for Psychological Studies, and the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network.
